Today I went to Mueller in search for a face brush (the kind for face cleaning, poor man's clairsonic) when I stumbled upon a new Catrice limited edition/new range for Fall/Winter 2014. Lately, I haven't been very impressed by Catrice and Essence LEs, but I immediately fell in love when I saw this one.

You can go to Catrice webpage and see the whole It Pieces Fall/Winter 2014 range, but I had to control myself and picked the most beautiful pieces.

Možete otići na Catrice stranicu i viditi sve proizvode iz It Pieces Fall/Winter 2014 ali sam se morala suzdržati i uzeti samo one najljepše komade.

Catrice Luxury Lacquers Million Brilliance (what a mouthful) 05 Plum Fiction (11 ml/ 27ish kn) is a beautiful glitter purple polish. I haven't tried it yet, but is looks really nice in the bottle.

Catrice Velvet Matt Eyeshadows (3.5 g/34ish kn)according to their website "Thanks to their silky, highly pigmented formula, the Velvet Matt Eyeshadows practically melt with your skin to create a radiant look." And I really can't put it better myself. They really are smooth and silky. I still have to try them on my lids, but without a doubt they will look great.

Catrice Velvet Matt sjenila (3.5 g/oko 34 kuna) su na njihovoj stranici opisana ovako: "Thanks to their silky, highly pigmented formula, the Velvet Matt Eyeshadows practically melt with your skin to create a radiant look." Ne znam kako ih bolje opisati, nego kao savršeno mekane i svilenkaste. Još ih moram isprobati na kapcima, ali ne sumnjam da će izgledati divno.

Hello :)

Today I will briefly present to you my picks from the essence Wild craft TE :)

When I saw the preview of the collection I thought that the brush looked ok, but that the rest of the stuff is pretty meh. It wasn't very long until I changed my mind :D

L-R: Rosewood Hood, Out Of The Forest, Mystic Lilac

Rosewood Hood and Mystic Lilac

Look at that imprint on the eyeshadows, it's soooo beautiful :)
I seriously hesitated to disturb it, I was fascinated with those ridges.

The magnificent trio

And now the close-up :D

essence Mystic lilac

Fortunately, that delicate imprint isn't the best thing about this collection, all  three shades have buttery soft texture, and glide on beautifully. They have very good pigmentation even without the primer, as you can see on the swatch below.

L-R: Rosewood Hood, Out Of The Forest, Mystic Lilac
Rosewood Hood is a shimmery champagne-beige color, which will be great as highlight and a base color.
Out of the Forest is a goldened olive green which looks a bit brownish, depending on the lighting. It also has the least buttery texture of the three.
Mystic Lilac is a deep violet shade, and it is the most pigmented of the three. And of course, it's my favorite (who would've guessed, right? :D )

I didn't plan on getting any of the shades of nail polish from this collection but then I saw these swatches and instantly fell in love with the Rosewood Hood and Mystic Lilac.
The best thing about them? Their price -.-

I still haven't got around to actually wearing them on my nails, but I'm not really satisfied with their brush, especially the one in Mystic Lilac. It is too big and soft, and it picks up too much of the nail polish.
The only thing why I picked up Rosewood Hood is because I don't own much of the nude polishes, and I'm a bit of the hoarder. Even though I probably won't wear it but once or twice, I still had to have it.

I swatched them on the plastic spoons:

Have you picked up anything from this collection?
How do you like it? :)

We interrupt our scheduled Halloween programming (yes, I know Halloween was Monday, but I have at least one more look to post, and I'd like you to pretend it's still interesting :D ) to show you this beauty:

I present you essence Skyscraper, a part of Urban messages TE.

If I had to describe Scyscraper in two words, they would be "dirty white". It's a light grey/muted white base with tiny  finely milled specks of brown something. I planned to write "shimmer" or "glitter" but it just feels so wrong :D
It's almost as if you were making a franken using a white nail polish and a small amount of pure dirt. It also contains almost invisible blue glass flecks which combined with "dirt" give this polish a perfect "pure stone" look.

This was a first time in my life I really admired my nails. They are soooo long in this picture :)
I used to bite my nails as a kid, and I have a very fragile nails, they tend to break as soon they grow past my nail bed.
I will make a post about my nail routine, if anyone is interested :)

In this last photo you can really see all the components of this nail polish.
Skyscraper is surely the nail polish I will often reach for in the future.

Thank you for reading,
Nic

Hello, guys :)

I must admit I'm a color snob. I 'd always thought I'd never paint my nails pastels, pink, brown or yellow.

I present you essence My Yellow Fellow Smiley

First time I saw this one in store I thought "No way I'm buying this one."
Second time it was "Meh, it's yellow."
Third time was like "Maybe it will suit me? No?"
After that I saw swatches on the net and I knew it must be mine Smiley
When I went to the store for the fourth time, there was no yellow polish left Smiley
Of course, at that moment I thought I'm going to cry, but luckily after scouring the drugstores I manage to grab two bottles of MYF, one for the giveaway, and one just for myself  Smiley

That was the story, and now onto the opinion.
I like the color and the opacity, but I don't think I'll be wearing this one very often. Something just doesn't feel right, having my nails painted yellow Smiley

Well, that's it from me tonight, gotta go do some laundry :D

Nic
Hello, girls :)

Were back to the good old NOTDs :D

Hair is going back to brown this Saturday, and that will officially be the end of the hair saga :)
I chose Country colors no. 65 which is supposed to be Chestnut brown, so I hope my hair will still have red sheen to it.

Now, back to the nail polish.

Žana , if you thought that red Catherine Arley nail polish was pain in the mikta to photograph, think again :D
essence Street styler (Urban messages TE)  is a gorgeous teal-ish nail polish with tiny glass-flecked silvery blue glitter, that simply cannot be photographed as is.

Sorry for the terrible cuticles, I took this pics after a whole day of house-cleaning :(

Now, this nail polish is much more green than my swatches, but what can you do

Stay tuned tomorrow for flakiefied Street Styler :)

Thank you for reading and don't forget to enter my giveaway, only two days left :)

Bye-bye,
Nic

Today I want to show you a layering experiment :)

I applied one coat of essence Choose me over two coats of essence Once Upon a Time (Fairytale TE).
I love layering Choose me over black, green or blue nail polish, but I was curious how it would look applied over a red one.

This is the result:

Shade

Sun

Sun

Blurry one to show you all the sparkles

It's really unusual and I love it :)

How do you like it?

Thank you for reading,

Hello, guys :)

I finally went through my vacation photos, and I have another "vacation mani" post :)

Essence Hello holo is an absolute winner. It makes any manicure last for days, without even getting a tip wear.
I applied essence You're a heartbreaker from 50's girls reloaded TE, but it made bubbles so I had to camouflage it.
I chose Hello holo and I must say, that was a great decision.

The mani lasted for 6 days and the only damage was a slight chapping on my thumb and a slightest of tip wears.
Picture spam ahead :D

Damage 6 days after application

Now, 6 days might not be much, I had some manis that lasted even longer, but you must take into account that this was during the summer, with hell-like temperatures, constant hand washing, sunbathing, sweating, swimming and outdoor activities :)

The photos don't really give it justice, because this is one glitter bomb sparkly manicure, so I will upload a video of it in the next few days, so stay tuned ;)

Nic

Hello, guys :)

I'm back from my vacation, and I'm still sorting out all of my pictures so there should be more "Vacation eotd/notd" posts :)

This one here is my latest purchase, Beam Me Scotty! of Catrice Out of Space LE. I'm not really impressed with this LE, but the minute I saw BMS (and the blue gel liner :D), I had to have it :)

It is a one coater, if you are careful with your application, and it dries super-fast.

I love this dull finish, it's a nice change from all the shimmer and glitter.
The downside is that it doesn't last very long. I applied it yesterday afternoon, and by night I had some tip-wear.

Did you buy anything from Out of Space?

Thank you for reading,
Nic
