Danas sam htjela napravit jedan šareni look, pun žutih i zelenih i ljubičastih i zlatnih i svega i svačega...
Na kraju je ipak ispao standardni zelenkasto tirkiznasto ljubičasti look :D
Jedino što me tješi u ovom ponavljanju lookova je da mi se čini da se popravljam u blendanju :)
Razmišljala sam čak rekreirat neke starije lookove, ali s puno više blendanja i preciznosti.

Today I wanted to do a very colorful look, using yellows and greens and violets and goldens and everything...
At the end it turned out to be a standard for me, tealish violet look :D
The only good thing about this recreation of looks is that I'm under the impression that I'm getting better at blending :)
I thought about recreating some of the older looks, but with much more blending and precision.

For this one I used:

• Catrice Starlight expresso (eyebrows)
• essence Mystic lemon (under-brow highlight)
• Catrice Coolibri LE Birds flying high eyeshadow (eyeshadow base)
• Bourjois eyeliner pencil 19 Bleu surprenant
• Teal eyeshadow from Wet n Wild Blue had me at hello palette (lid)
• Catrice The violent violet eyeshadow (lower lashline)
• essence black eyeshadow (upper lashline)
• Violet eyeshadow from MUA Poptastic palette (crease)
• essence I love extreme mascara

U Zagrebu je depresivno zadnjih tjedan dana, prvo tmurno vrijeme, pa malo sunca, a čini se da će i ovaj vikend doć do vremenskih neprilika. Užasno mi nedostaju Dubrovnik, sunce, more, taraca s odrinom i povjetarac koji razbija vrelinu... Istina da mi ne nedostaju dani toliko sparni da je jedini nacin prezivljavanja zatvorit sve prozore i upogonit klima uređaj, ali nostalgija za domom nekako uvijek uspije ostaviti samo lijepa sjećanja.

Zagreb's been so depressing this past week. At first we had gloomy weather, then some sun, and it seems the upcoming weekend will be marked with colder and cloudy weather. I miss Dubrovnik, the sun, the sea, my terrace with grape arbor and a breeze that makes the heat more bearable... Of course, I don't miss the terrible heatwave when there's nothing else to do but to barricade the windows and turn on the air-condition, but the nostalgia for home always seems to bring out only the memories of good times.

Yaay, drugi post u ovom tjednu, I'm on fire :D
U zadnje vrijeme sam ponovno otkrila strast za bloganjem, pogotovo kad dobijem krasne komentare, kao na proslom postu :) Glupo mi je odgovarat na svaki komentar, ako nema neko konkretno pitanje (jer bi odgovor na svako bio "Hvala :) "), ali znajte da mi apsolutno svaki komentar stavi osmijeh na lice, krasno mi je vidjet da netko i čita ove moje škrabotine :D

Lately I've rediscovered my passion for blogging, especially when I got so many great comments, as in my latest post :) I feel silly replying to each and every comment, if it isn't a specific question (because the answer to every comment would be "Thank you so much :) ), but I want you to know that absolutely every comment makes me smile, it feels really good to know someone actually reads my posts :)



Ovaj post/look sam nazvala "back to basics" zato što je moj signature look uvijek uključivao kombinacije ljubičaste i zelene, što možete vidjeti u mojim prvim postovima :) S obzirom na posao, malo sam ublažila odabir boja sjenila, ali se lagano vraćam početcima i moram se pohvalit da idem na posao sa žarko zelenim kapcima i apsolutno me nije briga što će mi ljudi reći :D

This post/look I named "back to basics" because my signature look always incorporated green and purple combinations, which you can see in my earliest posts :) Considering my job, I had given up on bright eyeshadows, but I'm now coming back to basics and I have to say, I'm wearing bright green eyeshadow to work, and I don't give a single fuck what my co-workers think about it :D

The swatch is not color-correct because of the artificial lighting, but the lisptick is pretty unique :)

Kako ste mi? Je li vas uhvatio proljetni umor? :)
Ja sam jedva dočekala ovo krasno vrijeme i svaki dan mi je bolji od drugog :)
Prošli vikend je bio Dan Sv. Patrika povodom kojeg sam nalakirala krasni China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise koji je jako lijepi neonac sa zeleno-plavim shimmerom. Naravno da ga je nemoguće uslikati kako spada, sve slike ispadaju ili preplave ili nedovoljno kričavo zelene. CG Tirkizac je u principu žarke zelene boje sa sitnim shimmerom, dok plava dodje do izražaja tek pod umjetnom rasvjetom (kad se vraćate doma po noći s proslave :D )
Uspjela sam ga nekako poslikati, a stavila sam više slika tako da dobijete pravu sliku ovog prevrtljivca ;)

This past weekend was a St.Patrick's Day and I rocked beautiful China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise which is a very pretty neon with green-blue shimmer that is a bitch to realistically photograph :D
Every photo I took of it is either  too blue or not green enough. CG Turquoise is in fact vivid green with fine shimmer, and it looks blue under street lights (when you're going back home at night from the party :D )
I managed to photograph it somehow, and I posted many pics s you can get the real picture of this little shifter ;)


Sad malo o formuli. Kad sam stavila prvi sloj, bila sam jako zadovoljna kako se maže. Dovoljno je bio vodenast, kistić je krasan, bez problema sam ga nalakirala. Osušio se za minutu i postao mat. Koliko sam se informirala, svi neonci se suše mat. I to je ok, ništa što nadlak ne bi mogao riješiti. Ono što me zabezeknulo je koliko se lak nekako razlio i povukao nakon što se taj prvi sloj osušio O.o
Imam negdje sliku, stavit ću je ako je nađem. Naime, kao da je oćelavio, valjda kako je vodenast sa shimmerom, nekako je skliznuo sa sredine nokta i skupio se sa strane :D
Ali nakon još dva sloja, sve je bilo super. Nakon jednog sloja INM-a dobijete ovu krasotu dolje <3


And now a bit about formula. When I applied the first layer, I was very satisfied how good it goes on. It wasn't thick and the brush is great. It took about a minute to dry and it dried matte. As far as I know, all neons dry matte, and it's ok, nothing a good top coat couldn't handle. One thing that stupefied me was how that first layer, afret it dried, got bald :D It seemed as it pooled to the sides and left the middle of the nail, nail polish - free :D
But after two more layers, everything was great, and one layer of INM out the door later, you get this beauty below :)




1 layer of essence Ultra strong nail hardener (the one with black letters) + 3 thin layers of China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise (neon)  + 1 layer of INM Out the door fast dry top coat

Were back to the good old NOTDs :D

Hair is going back to brown this Saturday, and that will officially be the end of the hair saga :)
I chose Country colors no. 65 which is supposed to be Chestnut brown, so I hope my hair will still have red sheen to it.

Now, back to the nail polish.

Žana , if you thought that red Catherine Arley nail polish was pain in the mikta to photograph, think again :D
essence Street styler (Urban messages TE)  is a gorgeous teal-ish nail polish with tiny glass-flecked silvery blue glitter, that simply cannot be photographed as is.

Sorry for the terrible cuticles, I took this pics after a whole day of house-cleaning :(




Now, this nail polish is much more green than my swatches, but what can you do :shrug:

Today I want to show you a layering experiment :)

I applied one coat of essence Choose me over two coats of essence Once Upon a Time (Fairytale TE).
I love layering Choose me over black, green or blue nail polish, but I was curious how it would look applied over a red one.

Two weeks have passed since my last post, and I've been up to literally nothing. I messed up with my hair a bit, went from fail purplish, to dark brown, and yesterday, to black; did a spring cleaning to my desk and shelves, threw away a bunch of useless stuff, got organized a bit better, made a whole bunch of lifestyle changing decisions, and, to this day, implemented none :D

At least I had some make-uping done, and I decided to post it :D
I experimented with new essence gel eyeliner Berlin rocks (purple) as a eyeshadow base, and it works perfectly :inlove:
It goes a bit blotchy, but I used it all over my lid and blended it with a brush, it dries instantly, and it doesn't crease :)
I used Nyx Ultra pearl mania loose shadow in Jade green and MAC Grape pigment. I love those two, they are two of my favorite loose pigments.

I loved the end result but I wasn't too happy with the pictures, so I decided to post a whole bunch of them :D
I hope you won't mind. I have two different cameras, but I don't like the either one. I believe proper lighting is the problem. I use compact energy-saving light bulbs that don't emit enough proper light for photographing, or turn my skin light blue. If I take my pictures in the sun, it totally kills the colors, and I end up semi-blind. I need to research some proper way to take make-up pictures without frustration :(

Until then, I leave you with a picture spam of my eyes and my eyebrows that don't look that wild in person, I promise ;)

I will keep this one short, since I'm tired and as soon as I post this, I'll go to bed and watch some Stargate: SG-1 on my iPod :)

As you can see, I adore purple and green, and this one is by far my favorite green nail polish.


Here I managed to catch two fingers in shade and two in the sun.

When I find something I like, I become utterly obsessed with it.

The latest object of obsession is Rocky Horror Picture show. I can't believe it took me this long to actually watch the movie. I had it on my to-watch list forever, and I'm not ashamed to admit that Glee's "Rocky Horror Glee Show" inspired me to sit my forgetful ass on the couch and watch the musical.

First, I love Glee. It's not my usual kind of tv show I watch, but I love the singing, quirkiness, Sue Sylvester and the life lessons it teaches you. But one thing that got me hooked up to the show is Cory Monteith 
Well, what can I say...I love cute, tall guys 



Second, when I finally watched RCPS, it got me instantly hooked. It's been a week, and I've watched it 5 times, already. I listen to soundtrack throughout the day, and I even did a Frank-N-Furter FOTD.
I love the style, the songs, the cast, and I adore Tim Curry. He's perfect for the role.

Last week I picked up several new essence nail polishes, and one of them was Where's the party?. It's an olive green/purple shimmery duochrome. It has thick formula, it's pigmented and it's  opaque in one layer. I used two layers, though, because it's a bit streaky and if you use thinner layers it can apply a bit uneven.

Depending how light hits your nails, it changes from green to purple. In the sun, the most times it looks purple, and only picture I managed to take to show it is with the flash.



Move to the shade and you can see the duochrome goodness :)






My favorite color combination is green/purple, so this is a perfect nail polish for me.

Do you like it? Have you raided the local drugstore for new essence stuff.
The only thing that keeps me buying the entire new line is the utter lack of money and the knowing it's their permanent line, so it should be stocked for a long time :D
